Sunday Fun Club
Aimed at children between 3 and 11 years old, Sunday Fun Club meets usually on the 3rd Sunday of every month during the 10.30 am service at St Edmund’s.
Activities include stories, craft and songs. The group joins with the congregation in Church later during the service to show everyone what they have learnt.
Toddler Church meets every Thursday during term time from 9.30 to 11.00 am. Beginning in the Church with songs before moving to the Millennium Room for “the 3 T’s” - Toys, Tea and Toast - and an opportunity for fellowship and chat. Contact the Rector for further details.
The Pop-in meets every Wednesday and Saturday from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm at The Pavilion (next to the Library) at the Gamecock Meadow, London Road, West Kingsdown.
Run by members of St Edmund’s, the Pop-in offers a place to meet for a chat over a cup of coffee and some homemade goodies to eat.
On Wednesdays there is an organised walk from the Pavilion, starting at 10.15 am. The route and duration of the walk is determined by the abilities of those taking part.
5-Ups After School Fun Club
This club for children between 5 and 7 years old meets every Tuesday during term time at the local Church of England Primary School in West Kingsdown.
Activities include stories, singing, craft work, games and shared prayer time with parents and carers.
Abbey Court and Manordene Services
Members of St Edmund’s join with the residents of the nearby Abbey Court and Manordene Nursing Homes to sing familiar hymns, enjoy favourite readings and share prayer time and a cup of tea.
Coffee and Chat Mornings
Our Pastoral Team consists of members of the congregation who have received training on various aspects of Pastoral Care. The team meets regularly for a time of sharing and prayer. Team members are available for anyone who wishes to talk through issues or would like somebody to pray with them.
